After working in the care industry for many years, my experiences have repeatedly lead to the same place of being left vulnerable, unsupported, and overworked, just trying to earn a fair wage. She sought to care and provide, not only with the view of her client's needs but considered my needs as an employee too. I really did feel a valued employee of Connie's Angels. She showed me integrity, genuinely cared, was honest, generous, and had a wonderfully huge heart, which I had the honour of her opening to me. Never once did I have to wonder when I would be paid, or if pay would be on time. Where money was due, or information required, Connie took responsibility of her employer obligations without hesitation. Being the owner and single operator of Connie's Angels was an advantage as an employee, as she had more flexibility in regard to individual remuneration decisions than from within, eg. Government assisted organisation.
